2023 Disclaimer: We do not feel as proud of the Google Certification 

While we are certified for all of the Google Stack, including but not limited to Google Ads, Analytics & Tag Manager, we feel that the certification has become a bit shallow for a couple of reasons:

  1. All the answers can be found online while taking any of the certification exams
  2. The course itself does not do much to improve the practical skills of managing campaigns

We see it as passing the theoretical part of a driving license; yes, one became familiar with the rules and regulations; however, would this person be entrusted with winning the race on the road?

Having said that, becoming a Google Partner requires more than just the certification while receiving more practical benefits from Google. To find out what this means, read on.

The Google Partner Requirements

Becoming a Google Partner is no small feat. It requires meeting a set of stringent criteria, including:

  1. Establishing a comprehensive partner company profile
  2. Maintaining a 90-day ad spend of at least 10,000 USD
  3. Meeting the performance requirement
  4. Having at least one affiliated Google Ads-certified individual

The Final Hurdle: Google AdWords Certification

Despite meeting three out of the four requirements, one final hurdle remained – the Google AdWords certification. This week, we took the plunge and completed the Google AdWords search assessment. We passed with flying colors, achieving a 96% accuracy rate within just one hour.

The Google Partner Badge: A Symbol of Excellence

With the certification, we are now officially and legally entitled to use the Google Partner badge. This badge symbolizes our expertise in search ads, and we plan to expand our specializations to include Mobile, Shopping, Display, and Video.
